RONDON RIDGE WESTERN HIGHLANDS

RONDON RIDGE, located at 7100 feet on Kum Mountain 

This location promises the visitor eternal spring weather and magnificent views of the Hagen Range, Mount Giluwe, the Sepik Divide, the Baiyer Gap and the Wahgi Valley.

Take advantage of the birding in the area where one may chance to observe up to 10 species of the birds of paradise. 

The Lodge features a main building housing the lounge, bar, dining room, conference centere and a cozy fireplace.

There is also a vineyard and winery being constructed on the Lodge grounds where Chambourcin grapes are being grown.

Guests are accommodated in 12 units, each unit featuring 180 degree views, modern bathroom, electric blankets and continental quilts for the cool highland evenings. Rondon Ridge generates electricity from its own mini hydro electric power plant.

Rondon Ridge is due to be completed and will be open for guests on 1st July, 2005.

There are daily scheduled Air Niugini flights from Port Moresby to Mount Hagen. Rondon Ridge is also the ''Jumping off'' point for access to AMBUA LODGE, KARAWARI LODGE, BENSBACH WILDLIFE LODGE and the SEPIK SPIRIT
