The Goroka Highlands Journey is an 9 day/8 night unescorted program. This program takes you on a journey through Highlanda and Sepik cultures. Beginning in the Southern Highlands at Ambua Lodge - home of the flamboyant Huli people. Thirteen species of birds of paradise, human hair wigs and spectacular views await the intrepid traveller seeking the ultimate journey.
Your journey continues to Karawari Lodge, perched on a ridge overlooking the Karawari River and the Sepik Basin. You will learn about the amazing ecology, culture and history of this remote and amazing corner of the planet.
From the Highlands fly to the resplendent Rondon Ridge, which boasts panoramic views of the Waghi Valley. From Mount Hagen a short flight will take you to the famous Goroka show where an array of sing-sing groups will dazzle your senses.

Special Note Regarding Charters:
Maximum baggage allowance is 10kg per person and a maximum of 5kg carry on baggage per person.Large, hard sided suitcases are not permitted on charter aircraft.
Land Cost Includes: Accommodation, transfers, tours, gate fees, local guides and meals from dinner on arrival 10 Sept 2017 to breakfast on departure 18 Sept 2017.

Domestic and international flights, visa fees and services of a personal nature such as beverage, laundry charges, phone and fax bills etc.

To secure space due to the popularity of our show programs, a non-refundable deposit of US$500.00 per person is required to confirm the booking.
Cancellations received between 14th July 2017 and commencement of the tour will attract a 50% fee of the total land and air charter costs. No refund is available after scheduled arrival in Papua New Guinea or in respect of any tour, accommodation, meals or other services not utilized during the tour. Any additional costs incurred because of changes made during the itinerary by clients, will be to the client's account.
Please note that Trans Niugini Tours is unable to refund any services, which appear in the main itinerary, but are not taken. Please also note that Trans Niugini Tours is unable to exchange services, which are not taken in the main itinerary, for other services. Services must be taken on the day that they appear in the main itinerary, and cannot be transferred to a different day.
