The Vista is a fully escorted 14 day/13 night program that provides a stunning view of Papua New Guinea. The journey begins with the septacuar mt Hagen Cultural show, providing an incredable vista of cultures from all over Papua New Guinea. In a land of nearly 800 languages, there is no better place to see so many gathered in one place. From there fly into the southern highlands, the stunning vista of Ambua lodge overlooks the tari Valley, home of the Huli, a flamboyant and colourful people. From the highlands fly to Karawari lodge, which is located in the Sepik region.Finally fly to a special cruise on the Sepik River aboard the MV Sepik Spirit, the perfect way to discover a rarely visited corner of the globe.

Upon your arrival in Port Moresby, you will be met by Trans Niugini Tours staff. You will then be transferred to the Holiday Inn (D).

| Fri, 14 Aug. | In the morning you will be transferred by Trans Niugini Tours staff to your flight from Port Moresby to Mount Hagen. Mount Hagen Town is in the upper Wahgi Valley - a valley with some of the oldest evidence of agriculture in the world. In preparation for the Mount Hagen Cultural Show, there will be a pre-show program in the afternoon. (BLD)

Sat, 15 and Sun, 16 Aug. | Two full days are spent at the Mount Hagen Show - world famous for its colour, culture and vibrance. It is a truly spectacular event. The diversity of the coastal, lowland and highlands singsing groups at the Hagen show reflects the incredible diversity of Papua New Guinea's landscape - an unforgettable experience.(BLD)

Fly by charter aircraft from Mt Hagen to Tari, a thrilling flight over the twin peaks of Mt Giluwe and through the alpine grasslands of the Tari gap. Ambua lodge is high on the slopes of the Tari Valley- home of the huli, a colourful and proud people, still largely living the same way their ancestors did. The afternoon is spent exploring the area surrounding Ambua - high mountain forests with roaring waterfalls beckon the intrepid traveller.(BLD)

Fly by charter aircraft from Ambua airstrip over some of the most rugged and impressive landscapes in the world. The country between Ambua and the Sepik region is an amazing array of jagged limestone that seem to rise and drop at impossible angles. Upon your arrival you will be met and transfered by boat to Karawari lodge. Sitting on a ridge above the Karawari River, Karawari Lodge boasts a spectacular view over hundreds of kilometres of dense tropical jungle. Inspired by local architecture and built with traditional materials, the lodge provides modern comforts. PM visit to Kundiman village for sago making demonstration. Excursions enhance your understanding of traditional village culture. This is the only place where the mystical ancestral Kamangabbi figure can be found.(BLD)

You will then continue from Karawari Lodge to Sepik Spirit. You will be transfered by river boat to the air conditioned comfort of the of the MV Sepik Spirit. | Sun, 23 & Mon 24 Aug. | Two full days are spent exploring the many waterways of the sepik and its tributaries including visits to traditional Sepik villages. the Sepik river is one of the largest rivers in the world - in terms of flow. Steeped in mystery, the people of the Sepik area have fascinated anthropoligists like Margaret Mead since the area was first visited. Part of the mystery and attraction of the Sepik people is their amazing carvings, now famous the world over (BLD)

| Tue, 25 Aug. | Your cruise ends here.You disembark and transfered by boat from the Sepik Spirit to timbunke Airstrip for Your Flight to Mount Hagen. Meet/Greet and atransfer to the highlander hotel for a sitdown lunch awaiting your onward flight. Afternoon transfer from Highlander Hotel to the Kagamuga airport to your flight to Port Moresby. BOOKING AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES |
To secure space, a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of US$500.00 per person is required to confirm the booking. Full payment is due on 15 June 2009. We will confirm booking only on receipt of deposits.
Deposits and payments should be made into our Wells Fargo US Dollar bank account, details of which can be found on our payment instructions page.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received between 15th June and commencement of the tour will attract a 50% fee of the total land and air charter costs. No refund is available after scheduled arrival in Papua New Guinea or in respect of any tour, accommodation, meals or any other service not utilized during the tour. Any additional costs incurred because of changes made during the itinerary by clients, will be to the client's account.
POLICY ON EXCHANGE OF SERVICES AND SERVICES NOT TAKEN:
Please note that Trans Niugini Tours is unable to refund any services which appear in the main itinerary, but are not taken. Please also note that Trans Niugini Tours is unable to exchange services which are not taken in the main itinerary for other services. Services must be taken on the day that they appear in the main itinerary, and cannot be transferred to a different day.

Upon receipt of deposits, you will be sent a confirmation packet and Client Information Booklet. We cannot stress enough the importance of reading this information prior to your arrival in Papua New Guinea. The Client Information Booklet has been specifically designed to give you vital information about strict luggage weight limits on the small aircraft used throughout the tours, possible delays in aircraft movements, standards of accommodation, etc. - Information in advance may help you to adjust to situations better as they occur.
