Goroka Show September 2024
Held every September in the peaceful highlands town of the same name, the “Goroka Show” is one of the most famous and exciting of the highlands cultural shows. Attracting over 1000 tribesmen and women, representing over 70 different tribes from all over the country, this two-day sing-sing is a dazzling array of color and energy that showcases the diversity of this fabulous island. The town comes alive for the event and the enthusiasm of the performers and spectators is truly electric.
Goroka Classic is an unescorted (no tour leader throughout but local guides at each facility) 13 day/12 night program. This Classic tour begins in Mount Hagen, spending a night at the resplendent Rondon Ridge in a valley that was unknown to the outside world until 90 years ago.
Goroka Highlands Journey is an unescorted 10 day/9 night fly-in/out program. The tour begins with an overnight at Airways Hotel in Port Moresby, ending with the famous Goroka Show.
